On the Brightside

"You're only as tall as your heart will let you be
And you're only as small as the world will make you seem
When the going gets rough and you feel like you may fall
Just look on the brightside - you're roughly six feet tall"

Superhero

I see right past your unforgivable eyes

every feeling you try to disguise

All of the shame that piles up in your heart

Why did you think you could be a part

Of my life then tear it down for yourself

Selfish reasons just to gain emotional wealth

I want you to forget about me

I know you don’t care act like your worrying

All my sorries go to you

And all my forgiveness too

I hope someday you’ll see

Everything that you can be

That if you just be who you are

You will go so far

If you can find yourself find the beauty in your soul

You could be a superhero

I know you have tried again and again

Just to feel like you fit in

You want people to hear you so you cry out loud

But still it doesn’t seem to work it out

I know all you want is love

But don’t you know that love’s enough

I hope someday you’ll see

Everything that you can be

That if you just be who you are

You will go far

If you can find yourself find the beauty in your soul

You could be a superhero

you fight and fight

To get to the other side

You’re faith is gone and hope is lost

You think you can’t make it through the day

But please listen to the words I say

I know someday you’ll see

Everything that you will be

You are lovely just the way you are

Let me tell you That takes you far

You’ll find yourself the beauty in your soul

Because You’re a superhero

You’re a superhero

Who Says?

You made me insecure
Told me I wasn't good enough
But who are you to judge
When you're a diamond in the rough...

Sometimes

Sometimes I'm shy, sometimes I'm outgoing. Sometimes I have confidence, but one person can shatter it. Sometimes I am sensitive, but when I need to be I don't let myself be upset. Sometimes I wish my parents were different, but sometimes I know they wish I were different, too. Sometimes I decide to take a chance, then sometimes taking a chance means creating a new fear. Sometimes I understand why things happen. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I wonder why I say sometimes all the time. Sometimes I know that it's because I am an unsure teenager. Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes. Will it ever just be all the time or never?

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."-Jeremiah 29:11

Especially this year in highschool, things were rough. Family wasn't a family, home wasn't a home, friends changed and did not act like friends, and schoolwork did not turn out how I wished. But, what does it matter? God will fix the family and home, friends come and go, and I'll meet new ones, for now I'm fine. And I tried my best with schoolwork. I did things I needed to and tried as hard as I could. Not the best grades, but I passed. =) Nothing will be easy, but it's always possible. And we can't change the future. We might as well follow the plans God has for us! It works out. =)

Carry You-"Kellie Coffey"

Spending time with you again

Oh I feel right at home

I know I’m not alone

Everything is slowing down

Sing me your song again

Till I find peace within

I know I can’t stay for long

Wherever I go your love keeps me strong

So I’ll carry you

Always and through my days You’ll be there

Showing me the way

When I lose faith

In everything I ever do

I’ll carry you

This crazy world is spinning round

But here in your gentle arms

I know I’m safe from harm

Oh you know I love it here

Just tell me one more time

It’s all gonna be alright

You’re such a part of all that I am

When I think I can’t you believe I can

So I’ll carry you

Always and through my days you’ll be there

Showing me the way

When I lose faith

In everything I ever do

I’ll carry you

There are no limits

To your love

Just who I am

Is more than enough

So I’ll carry you

Always and through my days you’ll be there

When I lose faith

In everything I ever do

Oh in everything I’ll go through

I’ll carry you

Oh I’ll carry you
